My name is Susan Collins and I am the Community Health Representative for Matachewan First Nation. As the Community Health Representative, the objective of my program is to administer a Health Services Program that enhances the well-being of community members living on the First Nation. In my position as CHR I often work closely with Cindy Giguere who is the Community Health Nurse employed by Wabun Tribal Council to service Matachewan First Nation.

Cindy and I develop and offer health Prevention Activities aimed at helping community member become and stay healthier. We focus on proper nutrition/healthy diets, physica activity, diabetes, smoking, human sexuality, teaching around common illnesses, awareness around over the counter drugs and teachings that promote mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.
